Algerian technology entrepreneur Nacer Abdelli is addressing North Africa’s employment gap through EduGato, an integrated platform that connects job candidate sourcing directly with targeted professional development. Founded in 2020, the platform combines recruitment tools and corporate learning pathways to help businesses bridge skill mismatches before new hires begin work.
EduGato allows job seekers to follow structured training modules, complete practical assessments, and earn verifiable digital certifications. Simultaneously, enterprise clients can build customized training programs using internal documentation and video content, ensuring that prospective and current employees align with company workflows prior to onboarding.

Leveraging AI for Candidate Matching and Skill Verification

Artificial intelligence serves as a central engine within EduGato’s infrastructure, analyzing applicant performance, assessment results, and skill sets to match candidates with open roles. The platform automatically generates learner progress reports, while an AI virtual assistant uses internal corporate documents to answer employee questions during onboarding.
To reduce onboarding friction, course content can be accessed via QR codes embedded in physical materials or social media channels without requiring account creation. Account registration is only required when a candidate applies for a position or officially starts a certified course. All issued certificates feature public verification links and QR codes, allowing recruiters to validate candidate credentials in real time.
For corporate HR teams, EduGato consolidates job postings, candidate tracking, employee evaluations, and onboarding workflows into a centralized real-time dashboard.

From Language Instruction to Tech Leadership

Nacer Abdelli holds a bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Algiers, graduating in 2008. He began his career in education as a language instructor before taking on leadership roles at the International Language Center and BLUE-Corporation.
Prior to expanding EduGato, Abdelli served as Head of Pedagogy and Marketing at Algerian incubator Catalyst Development in 2023 and worked as a UX designer for African collaboration platform Cynoia in 2024. His background across pedagogy, design, and marketing continues to shape EduGato’s user-centric approach to closing skills gaps across the region.
