The rally recorded a remarkable turnout of 3,562 youths and 120 bikers from across Nigeria, marking a strong show of support for the technology ecosystem and building momentum ahead of Abuja Tech Week 2026.
The Abuja Tech Rally brought together young innovators, technology communities, startups, bikers and ecosystem stakeholders in a collective show of advocacy for innovation, technology and the future of Nigerian cities.
The rally served as part of the build-up to Abuja Tech Week 2026, scheduled to hold from 24–26 November 2026 at the Abuja Velodrome, Moshood Abiola Stadium.
This year’s Abuja Tech Week is themed:
POWERING THE CITIES: ENERGIZING SMART MOBILITY
The three-day technology gathering is expected to bring together thousands of investors, founders, startups, young innovators, government leaders, technology professionals and ecosystem stakeholders to explore the technologies and ideas shaping the future of cities.
The Smart Mobility conversation will focus on the future of movement and urban development, including electric vehicles, intelligent transportation, connected infrastructure, cleaner energy and data-driven cities.
Speaking on the significance of the rally, the organisers noted that the massive participation demonstrates the growing interest among young Nigerians in technology, innovation and the future of urban mobility.
The Abuja Tech Rally was more than a march through the city; it was a statement that young Nigerians are ready to participate in building smarter, more connected and more sustainable cities.
With the countdown to Abuja Tech Week now underway, innovators, investors, startups, government, technology communities and the general public are invited to be part of the conversation.
